10.5 Schedule
Day 0630-1700 (6)
Early Swing 1000-2030 (4)

Maximum number allowed to be gone rule would need to keep Day and Early Swing together and Late
Swing and Night together; meaning (1) would be allowed off combined from Day or Night, not (1) from
each of the deployed shifts as that would cripple deployable coverages.
Concerns pop up at the 1700 hour as Day watch would leave, dropping coverage to 9 officers, not
counting any vacation, training, military, sick, other leave. Ideally there would be more officers to deploy
on the two swings or more officers to deploy on a true mid shift (1200-0000) which either would move
the number of officers on at 1700 above 9 which can be peak busy times during rush hour, especially for
crashes. Perhaps an answer to this would be 7 days a week traffic coverage that would bridge the gap
with two officers between 1700-2030 when Night watch arrived.
