Subject: Turning off "Favorites" in Mail
Happy Monday! I’m not sure if anybody cares as much (or little) about the “Favorites” section that just randomly
popped up after an update a little while ago . . . and although I love it when software tries to give me things they think I
really need and really want me to have – this one has driven me absolutely crazy. I can’t imagine why anybody would
want a “Favorites” section that grows or shrinks based on your usage (and makes clicking the same spot that it’s been
for a decade, different every time) or the obviousness of why I’d have to remove the already conveniently placed “Sent”
that is now showing up as a “Favorite” section in email so that everything I always use is doubled up now since it’s in
“Favorites” and the normal spot.
So I finally got fed up over the weekend and googled it. I have been suffering for far too long for such an easy fix and I
thought I’d share. If you don’t get bothered by little things and are much more passive than I am, shoot me an email so
that I can learn from you . . . otherwise, see below: (You may have to expand the ribbon first to be “Classic”, but you can
change that back after you find this.
