That is a lot more than I thought we were going to receive.

The timing on this is pretty crazy – I just received an email with a link to login and look at projected settlements. Here is
a summary of what we’ve received (that I shared in the meeting today, with the addition of the one that is slotted to be
received next month) and what we are projected to receive after the fiscal year. As noted in the meeting and in the
email below, things may change so this is not a guarantee, but an estimate of what we will have. Nor does this take into
any account any future settlements that may or may not occur.

\[EXTERNAL SENDER\]
This is an official communication from the Directing Administrator of the National Opioid Settlements.
In an effort to assist Settling States and Participating Subdivisions with planning for future Settlement Payments
and to provide additional transparency in the process as a whole, we are providing you with projected allocation
amounts for the remaining Payment Years in both the Distributor and Janssen Settlements, which are accessible
via your Beneficiary Portal at https://www.nationalopioidofficialsettlement.com/. Upon logging into your
Beneficiary Portal, you will see a new section for these at the bottom of your main landing page named
Projected Allocation Amounts. These are the amounts that you would receive pursuant to the Distributor and
Janssen Settlement Agreements if all relevant facts and circumstances remain unchanged. These are
calculations based on present facts and circumstances and current levels of State and Subdivision participation,
and there are no guarantees regarding the amounts or timing of any future payment(s), which will be governed
by the terms of the Distributor and Janssen Settlement Agreements.
2
Payment timing and amounts may be affected by, among other things, increased participation in a State, a
State’s eligibility for Incentive Payment D, and suspensions or offsets related to Later Litigating
Subdivisions. See, e.g., Section IV, Section XII, and Section XIII of the Distributor Settlement Agreement and
Section V and Section IX of the Janssen Settlement Agreement. These may also be affected by the Pre-
payment Option and/or Significant Financial Constraint provisions of the Distributor Settlement Agreement
(Section IV.J and Section IV.K). Please also note that the projected allocation amounts do not take into account
any Settlement Fund Administrator costs and fees that exceed the available interest accrued in the Settlement
Fund.
Please contact us if you have any questions or concerns regarding these projected allocation amounts.
