I am also concerned about any disruption that could be caused due to COVID-19 outbreaks, travelling hiccups, lack of staff once there, or last-minute cancellations. It seems like many things are a reduced quality these days and seem to be for the foreseeable future. That said, I’m excited to go and think it will be an amazing opportunity. I just wonder if it is better to wait for a bit. However, I’m also open to going now because I don’t know when things will fully return to normal… Joshua R. I would like for both of you to consider attending the class in November. I am planning on attending the executive class when it is offered. Please review the information on the link below. Let’s chat after you have reviewed the information. Travis Rothweiler, ICMA- CM CityManager City of Twin Falls, Idaho P.O. From: Anton Gardner <agardner@highperformanceorg.com> Sent: Tuesday, August 3, 2021 11:08 AM To: Travis Rothweiler <trothweiler@tfid.org> Subject: Leading EDGE application \[EXTERNAL SENDER\] Hi Travis; I hope this finds you well and things progressing as smoothly as can be in these crazy times! I also hope that your vacation was fun, relaxing and also restful – quite a contrast! I am writing to tell you that the link is now available for the application process for the Leading Edge and Executive Leading EDGE programs. You can use the program link at https://riley.cofc.edu/About%20the%20Riley%20Center/nonprofit-and-local-government-support.php From there you will see the link to the application. Please ask the two people you have selected for the November 2021 program to complete all four pages of the application. We will follow-up with information about the program and invoicing after the applications are complete. In the meanwhile, I thought it would be helpful convey our policies related to Covid-19. We require all participants to be fully vaccinated against the virus, and to bring verification with them when they arrive in Charleston. Further, depending on the severity of the virus’ spread and then prevalent guidelines, we may require participants to wear masks while at the program. If you have people for the next March 2022 Leading EDGE or the July two-week Executive Leading EDGE, they can apply at any convenient time. The sooner, the better, of course! As for me, my shoulder rehab is going well in physical therapy. I did, of course, add to the problem by having a herniated disc for which I am also doing some therapy. Never a dull moment. But things are otherwise progressing well. I will be in good shape for the November program! On another matter, we are doing some planning for a Practitioners Institute in 2022. It would be similar to the smaller group sessions of Sun-Tues that we held on the past. Shall we include you as potentially interested? I wish you and yours the very best, Tony 3
