I want to upgrade the luminaires at the BL/3 and BL/4 intersection crosswalks, this will increase our monthly IP line item by approximately $7. The City of TF is being billed $14.75 per month for each of these lights. If you want to upgrade the lights to a 140 Watt LED the cost would be $16.05 and a 200 Watt LED is $18.30 per month per light. If you choose to upgrade the light we require the Street Light Letter stating what you want to upgrade the lights to what you want. Hope this is helpful. Hi Sassy, rdth We’re getting complaints about the crosswalks on South Blue Lakes at 3 Ave East and South Blue Lakes at 4Ave East (see email below). th Is it possible to install updated lighting that would illuminate the intersections of Blue Lakes and 4 Ave East and the rd intersection of Blue Lakes and 3 Ave East better (maybe higher out-put LEDs at these two intersections)? The number thrd on the pole at the BL/4 intersection is 07200, and the number on the pole at the BL/3 intersection is 07195A. Please let me know what you think. -Robin From: tina_bina72 <tina_bina72@yahoo.com> Sent: Thursday, January 5, 2023 7:25 PM To: Craig Kingsbury <ckingsbury@tfid.org> Subject: Bikel school zone on Blue Lakes \[EXTERNAL SENDER\] Hi there, I'm writing with concerns for the children crossing Blue Lakes and 4th Ave E. There's a lighted school speed limit sign, there's a crosswalk sign, but unfortunately a lot of people are not paying attention. I live near the intersection and see people drive through the crosswalk while kids are waiting for several minutes for people to pay attention and stop. Last year, I went out in my sweats and robe to stop traffic for some kids. And just today, on my way to work, saw a girl waiting for awhile. I pulled out into the southbound lane and stopped for her (this is a crazy intersection anyway). The northbound traffic did not stop...so I literally put my truck in the middle of Blue Lakes so that everyone HAD to stop. I'm surprised I wasn't on FB...the crazy lady stopping traffic for a preteen. Haha I see this and other near misses on a regular basis between the hours of 7:20-7:55. Every.single.day! And don't get me started on the speeders through this school zone. It's quite ridiculous. After school is not much better, but at least it's a lot lighter. I've considered becoming the crossing guard during those hours, but I have a job, darn it. I just wanted the Department to know how bad this intersection is for the kids crossing Blue Lakes and maybe get more police presence during school zone hours. I'd appreciate anything you can do. Thank you.
