Hi
Thanks for the info. Donna will be trying to align calendars and availability.
I know Tom is out the week of the 19th and we don’t know Brent’s availability. With all this uncertainty in mind right
now, it might be best if we not worry about having the person approved by Council for the first meeting October
th th
4. With any luck, perhaps we can schedule interviews Sept 26 or 27or Oct 7 and have an appoint in mid-October…..
Sorry, stay tuned….

That process works for me. Just so you know, I am out of town leaving September 28th and returning on
October 5th. Right now I am open on Monday the 26th and Tuesday the 27th. I have a SLFRF committee
meeting from 11-1 on the 6th of October. I am open all day on the 7th of October.
If the opening is effective in October and it needs to be approved by Council, would it be better to do
something the week of the 20th? I am available only on the 19th and 20th that week. Then it could be on
the agenda for the 26th of Sept. - I will not be at the October 3rd meeting.
My calendar is a little crazy right now - not only am I going on my first vacation this year, I also have tax
deadlines on Sept. 15th and Oct. 15th.

Hi Ruth,
We have an opening for a City Seat effective this October, Joe Mason has decided not to seek a second 3-year term. We
th
have been advertising, with the application cutoff date September 7. We will send you the applications on September
th
8 for your review. We anticipate having 3-5 applications. If you decide to interview all candidates (which is common)
thrd
Donna and are looking at the week of September 26 or the week of October 3.
Past Mayors have typically asked us to set up a string of 30 minute morning interviews followed by a discussion of
candidates during a working lunch in our conference room. Interview teams assisting the Mayor have typically been
small (Chairman-Tom Frank, County Liaison- Brent Reinke, and the Airport Manager). This is only a suggestion and we
will structure the process as you wish.
Thanks, let us know your thoughts/questions.
