Nice work everyone. The fact that this email is from Jim Paxton makes it a little more meaningful. He has not
always been so complimentary of the City in the past.

I received this email this morning. Knowing that this team of people rarely receives direct praise for the hard work you
do, I wanted to share it.
Go Team!

Jonathon,
Great news, thank you! I appreciate what you all do and value your services to our community. I have had the pleasure
for well over 40 years to work with the City on many things over the years. I don’t take what you all do for granted and
respect the positions you are in. The quote in the newspaper recently where it was mentioned the City of Twin Falls is
good to work with and I second that but I am sure we’re not the only ones that feel that way. It is crazy how things are in
these times especially finding employees who want to work. Everyone I have worked with at the City I have always
found to strive to be efficient and that goes for the folks in the field. Again, I appreciate what you all do!
Thank you,
Jim

Jim,
By the time I was able to follow up on this item, the permit had been reviewed and approved. So, now it is in the
“processing phase”. That processing phase usually takes 2-3 days when we are fully staffed. As we are currently
experiencing staffing shortages, just like everyone else in the Magic Valley, this timing could take a day or two longer.
Our goal would be to get it out by the end of this week. This isn’t a guarantee, but we do strive to be as efficient as
possible given the amount of work and the available staff we have.

Jonathon,
I am working with Lytle Signs to replace signage at our 960 N Blue Lakes location. We have a building permit and are
working with Stanley Associates on a small remodel over the entrances. We are looking to get our signage into
production and our representative told me yesterday it could be 4-6 weeks before we are issued a permit. Production
could take an additional 2-4 weeks of time. Buddy at Stanley told me yesterday they will be completed in 2-weeks and
for sure by the end of the month. Lytle indicated they could provide us temporary signage to put it in place to open the
first of June. We’re not too excited about doing that and wondering if there is a chance you could look to see if we could
be approved and permitted early part of next week? Attached is a rendering of what was submitted and it will replace
what is existing which is more attractive and I’m told by Lytle is in compliance. Your help looking in to this matter will be
appreciated.
Thank you,
Jim
