Hidalgo 9-1-1 Supervisor Bingham CSO 501 N Maple, Box 405 Blackfoot, ID 83221 208-785-1234 208-317-8044 © _______________________________________________________________________________ Hi, All, I conducted the last of the suicide prevention trainings for 911 dispatchers today. What a wonderful group of people we have serving our state!! I thoroughly enjoyed training everyone. I’m kind of sad it’s over. I’ve attached my PPT for anyone who wants it as a reference. I’ve also attached the Sources of Strength wheel for anyone who wants to use it. Please distribute to those trained. The Idaho Suicide Prevention Hotline is in the process of helping to produce a script or two of successful suicide de- escalation calls that I will share with you all when done for you to share with dispatchers as examples. They could not provide audio of such calls because of privacy issues. This came as a suggestion from one of the early evaluations. So, thank you to all who have scanned and sent me the evals. I take those very seriously and they help me improve. Thank you all so very much for your help in facilitating this training endeavor and for the opportunity to spend quality time with your dispatchers talking about a critical topic. Thanks for all you do! Best, Kim Kim Kane, MPA Program Manager │ Suicide Prevention Program Division of Public Health │ Department of Health and Welfare th 450 W.
