Kingsbury Sent:Thursday, June 23, 2022 10:45 To:Lucio Coronado Jr. Cc:PD-Admin Subject:FW: Crosswalk Sarge, nd Understanding our staffing issues and such, would it be feasible to plan a crosswalk enforcement detail along 2 Ave East (and perhaps the downtown area) for late summer early fall? Perhaps we could ask ISP and the SO to join in and do few days of high visibility enforcement / patrols? Please see me email correspondence with a downtown business owner below. Thanks, Craig S. We have discussed increasing our traffic patrols for this very violation. However, staffing and priority calls have not allowed us to accomplish this as I had hoped. It is a work in progress. I will say that I, myself, have had a few close calls so I understand your concern. Stay safe, Craig S. East (Idaho Troutfitters) during the day I see countless people nd Crossing 2 Ave at the crosswalk and drivers for the most part will not stop! During the summer there are many adults and children Coming from city park to the splash pad on main, There have been more than a few close calls this summer already. Its crazy just how fast Autos are going past my store, Its only a matter time before someone gets hit by a car. Is there any way That traffic patrol could monitor the crosswalk a little more frequently? Thanks for your time, Daniel Dane Idaho troutfitters Sent from Mail for Windows 2
