Thank you for your willingness to assist as an evaluator for our Scenario Day of the CIT Academy. We are having a great week and have a great group of students. We will be mee?ng at the Twin Falls Reformed Church on Friday, March 8 at 8:00 AM and will plan to go un?l 12:00. If you enter the parking lot off of Grandview you will see our cars there. Please arrive by 8:00 and we will plan to have an in person briefing so we can ensure that we are all on the same page. Just FYI…the actor group that was going to assist us fell through at the last minute, so we have had to improvise. We have volunteer actors from the police department that will help us act out two of the scenarios. If you have been assigned to one of those, I will have forms ready to assist you, but your job is to facilitate and watch to role play, providing feedback to the par?cipants. If you have been assigned to one of the scenarios that do not have actors, our goal is to have an in-depth tabletop discussion regarding the scenario. The hope is that we can avoid the fear that comes from roleplaying and really discuss approach, tac?cs, resources, etc. You will have 45 minutes with each group so these are not intended to be quick discussions. I have put together a list of sample discussion ques?ons to get you going, but feel free to run with this. So you feel a bit more prepared, I have a?ached a list of assignments, the scenarios, and the tabletop discussion ideas. Take a look at these and let me know if you have any concerns or ques?ons. Again, thank you for your assistance. Dusty Solomon Sergeant, Juvenile Crimes Unit Twin Falls Police Department Cell:(208)749-4018 Ph:(208)735-7223 Fax:(208)733-0876 1 dsolomon@tfid.org www.tfid.org 2
