'i'he Finance Commissioner reported that the city has received $225U.UO interest on ';,200,000.00 of 1 1/8: Certificates of Indebtedness and that these certificates have been exchanged for two L. d. ;;ertificates of in- debtedness Series F - 1950 Nos. di9y and 6200 in the amounts of ;IOO,UUO,W each bearing interest at the rate of 1;36, ib and due July 1, 1950. The certificates are being held in temporary safekeeping by the Harris 'lust, and ravings Flank of Chicago, Illinois. -;fey have provided the Sity with their receipt 1Tc. Sig 69251, which is bein jo turned over to the laity Treasurer for safekeeping. Councilman Grant moved the a9epta�e of Tie plumber's bond for Murray Burns numbing and "eating company, Boise, Idaho with the Fidelity and Casualty Company of I-Jew York in the amount of 0SUOO.UO. The motion was seconded by r.;ouncilman Chaney and unanimous- ly carried on roll c all. • lbe Safety C;omutissioner stated that owners of weed-covered rots are instructed to cut and dispose of the weeds. If the weeds are to be burned, -the Fire Department is to be notified and permission is to be obtained from that departmnt. The Commissioner of Public *orks read a report prepared by the Superintendent of Streets outlining the street work that has been accomplished and projects that are planned for the near future. Thereupon Mayor Schwendiman introduced in writing Urdinance No. 794 entitled: Aid ORDINMrCE O- 'M CIMC OF WIN FWZO lDA IOC ANNEXING TO SAID CITY '1HE EAST HALF OF "'M SOi UMEST QUARM OF 'lam SOUIIIWE~ T QUARTER (* S`W' SW$) of swauN EIGHT (8). I' AYNSHII' TEN (10) SOUTH, RANGE SE'MiMEN (17) , EAST OF 'M BOISE IMMIAN IN TWIN FALLS COUNlY, IDAHO. Thereupon Council man Chaney moved that that part of Idaho Code Annotated requiring the reading of an ordinance on three different days be dispensed with in the manner prescribed by law, and that said proposed Urdinance No. 794 be read the first and second time by title and, the third time fully and distinctly at length and placed upon its final passage.
