I have provided engineering for the tall walls on the Salvarov Residence as attached.
Calculations show that the following conditions shall be met:
• All walls shall be sheathed with 7/16" O.S.B. and fastened to 2x6 stud framing. 2x6
studs shall be spaced at 16" centers, max. Fasten all panels with 1 %2"x 16 gauge staples
at 6" centers at panel edges and 12" centers in fields. Wall panels need not be blocked.
• All tall wall door and window jambs shall have (1) king stud continuous from the sill
plate to the top plate and (1)trim stud.
• No additional hold downs are required for tall walls.
