I would like to call to order the _______________ meeting of the Twin Falls City Planning & Zoning
Commission.
Members of the audience may pick up an agenda in the lobby so that you may follow our order of business.
REPRESENTING THE CITY OF TWIN FALLS THIS EVENING ARE:

***Prior to Public Hearings***
During the public hearing portion of the meeting testimony will be taken from the public related to each item,
if you have an issue you would like to discuss that is not listed on the agenda, please contact staff at 208-735-
7267.
The commission will follow these 9 steps for each request listed under the public hearing portion of the
agenda.
1. City Staff will present their analysis.
2. The applicant will then present their request.
3. The commission will then ask questions of the applicant or staff.
4. After questions have been asked, the public hearing will then be opened. During that time anyone in
attendance is given the opportunity to comment, or ask questions, about the request being considered.
5. When giving testimony please step up to the podium, state your name and address, you will be given
?? minutes present your comments or concerns. After giving testimony, please sign the public sign in
sheet located next to the podium with your name and address for the record.
6. After public comments are concluded, the applicant will be invited to answer any questions and make a
closing statement.
7. Staff will then answer or clarify any comments as needed.
8. After the closing statements, the public hearing will be closed; no further testimony or comments from
the applicant or audience will be allowed.
9. The Commission will then have an open discussion and take action on the request.
Some of the actions taken by the Commission are final; others are recommendations which are sent forward to
the City Council for a final decision.

As per City Code, the applicant, or any person who gave verbal or written testimony during the public hearing
may appeal the decision of the Commission. A completed appeal application and payment must be submitted
to the administrator within fifteen (15) days from the Commission’s action to be valid. (Ord. 2620-8-2-1999)
