Good afternoon.
In the review of our applications for calendar year 2024 and 2025 for the position of Deputy
Prosecuting Attorney recruitment, we received one application dated April 4, 2025, from James
Blunk in the January 2025 recruitment pool. For the January 2025 recruitment two conditional
offers were extended to candidates and turn down emails were sent to the rest of the application
pool.
The position was reposted May 21, 2025, and James Blunk did not apply in the second
recruitment pool. Three offers were extended in the May 21, 2025, recruitment, two of which
were accepted and ultimately hired. Mitchell Benjamin was hired July 14, 2025, and Meghan
Godfrey was hired August 25, 2025.
Per review by our City Attorney, Idaho Code 74-106 exempts the disclosure of certain personnel
records and personal information of city employees.
