"Chapter 8 Places of Assembly -- Life Safety Code 101
Section 8-1 General Requirements
8-1. 5. Occupant Load
8-1. 5. 1 The occupant load permitted in any assembly building,
structure, or portion thereof shall be determined by dividing
the net floor area or space assigned to that use by the square
feet per occupant as follows:
(b) An assembly area used as a conference room, dining
room, drinking establishment, exhibit room, gymnasium, or
lounge -- 15 square feet per person. "
You have 2 ,935 square feet of available seating room within
your establishment which allows for 196 people.
"Section 5-10 Exit Marking
5-10. 1. 2 Access to exits shall be marked by readily visible signs
in all cases where the exit or way to reach it is not immediately
visible to the occupants, and in any case where required by the
applicable provisions of Chapters 8 through 16 for individual occupancies.
5-10 . 4 . 1. 1 A sign reading "EXIT" or similar designation, with
an arrow indicating the direction, shall be placed in every location
where the direction of travel to reach the nearest exit is not
immediately apparent. "
To comply with this section it will require the installation
of illuminated exit signs above your rear exit and a directional
sign located above the door by the end of the bar near the front
exit.
