Re: WASTEWATER COLLECTION FOAMING EVENT
Dear Wastewater Customer,
On Sunday, March 30, 2025, at approximately noon, a significant discharge of soap or
detergent, likely from a commercial business, entered the City of Twin Falls wastewater
collection system, resulting in an unusual foaming event within the system. If you have any
information regarding the source of this discharge, we strongly urge you to contact the Public
Works Department at 208-736-2275. Your assistance is vital in addressing this issue effectively.
Due to the recent incident, the City would like to remind local businesses of the importance of
maintaining their equipment and re-evaluating procedures to prevent issues and problems with
the City's wastewater system. And if spills occur, promptly contacting the Public Works
Department allows steps to be taken within the collection and treatment system to prepare for
these unanticipated spills.
