AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
TWIN FALLS, REPEALING AND REPLACING ORDINANCE
NO. 2913, SETTING FORTH THE COMPENSATION PLAN
FOR THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL, AND PROVIDING
FOR AN EFFEC ITVE DATE.
WHEREAS,the City Council passed Ordinance No.2913 in 2007 setting the
compensation plan for the Mayor and City Council members at One Thousand Four Hundred Ten
Dollars($1,410.00)and One Thousand One Hundred Sixty Dollars($1,160.00)per month,
respectively,and;
WHEREAS,the Compensation Plan has not been adjusted since 2007 even though the
workload,time commitment,and similar demands on elected officials in the City has increased,
and;
WHEREAS,the City Council believes that a ten percent(10%)increase in compensation
is appropriate.
NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF TWIN FALLS,IDAHO:
Section 1: That Twin Falls City Ordinance No.2913 is repealed and replaced as follows:
(a) The Mayor shall receive monthly total compensation in the amount of One Thousand Five
Hundred Fifty-One Dollars ($1,551.00). The Mayor may elect to designate a portion of this
compensation to be paid into a Section 125 program to cover qualified program benefits,with the
remainder of the compensation to be paid to the Mayor as monthly salary.
(b) Each member of the City Council shall receive monthly total compensation in the amount of On
Thousand Two Hundred Seventy-Six Dollars($1,276.00). Each City Council member may elect
to designate a portion of this compensation to be paid into a Section 125 program to cover qualified
program benefits,with the remainder of the compensation to be paid to that City Council member
as monthly salary.
Section,2: That this ordinance be effective January 1, 2022.

Section 2:That this ordinance be effective January 1,2022.
